Shoshana earned her Master of Social Work degree from Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work and a Master of Arts degree in music therapy from New York University. She holds licenses as a social worker and creative arts therapist. Additionally, she earned her accreditation as a healer through the Jewish Association of Spiritual Healers, an international, nondenominational organization of healers.
She is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Her multicultural professional background includes over 30 years of geriatric experience as a recreation and music therapist, social worker, a college instructor, high-school teacher, and music-therapy consultant and performer in over 85 geriatric facilities. She has studied healing modalities such as Brain Gym, Therapeutic Touch, Holographic Repatterning, bodywork, and sound healing. The Jewish Week newspaper featured an article about Shoshana's healing work and approach to healing. Professional presentations were well received at conferences of the Gerontology Institute of New Jersey, New York State Therapeutic Recreation Society, American Orthodox Jewish Scientists, the Hineni Heritage Center (under the aegis of Rebbetzin Esther Jungreiss), and for singles groups. Shoshana spoke about energy and spiritual healing on Blog Talk Radio (dreamworker.org). Her articles have been published in The Jewish Press, The Flatbush Jewish Journal, Natural Jewish Parenting, Kol Chevra, and Journal of Jewish Music and Liturgy. She produced two CDs of her original healing music and songs: The Time Is Coming (2011) and I Reclaim My Heart (2015). To ensure integrity, she works closely with rabbis and mentors. Shoshana also founded the L'Chaim Healing Gemach.
